Navigating the grief and transition after your child leaves home

Navigating the grief and transition after your child leaves home

Saturday, October 10th at 12p ET | Live on Zoom | Free Registration

You prepared your child for this moment. Now it is time to give yourself the support you need for what comes next.

You are proud of your child, but your heart is still adjusting.

You helped your child pack, remembered the things they almost left behind, smiled for the pictures, and told them how proud you were.

Then you came home, and everything felt different.

The house may be quieter. Their room may look exactly the same, but the energy in your home has changed. You may still reach for your phone to check whether they arrived safely, ate dinner, or are finding their way.

You can be genuinely excited about the life your child is building and still feel the ache of the life that has changed. Both emotions can be true at the same time.

Missing your child does not mean you are not proud of them. It means this relationship and this season have mattered deeply to you.

The problem is, none of that tells you what to do when life gets quiet and you’re left wondering,

“What do I do now?”

So you do what capable women often do. You keep functioning. You research. You read. You make lists. You tell yourself you’ll figure it out when things settle down. But functioning can get you through the day without actually helping you move through the transition.

And the longer you stay there, the questions can begin to change. Instead of simply asking, “What should I do next?” you may start wondering, “Why is it so hard for me to decide?”

That’s the real cost: not simply the time that passes, but what prolonged uncertainty can begin to do to your confidence, clarity, and sense of direction.

INTRODUCING

THE TRANSITION RESET™

The private intensive that takes you from "I don't know what I'm doing" to a written, personalized plan, in one focused conversation.

We don't wander. We follow The Transition Blueprint®,  my signature six-pillar framework designed to help women navigate the emotional, personal, and practical challenges that come with major life change.

Every transition looks different from the outside. A career shifting, a marriage or relationship ending or empty nesting. But underneath, change asks all of us the same questions. The Blueprint is how we answer them.

1. Reframe Your Mindset

Shift the way you see your transition so uncertainty doesn’t keep you stuck in fear, overthinking, or worst-case thinking.

2. Regulate Your Emotions

Learn how to acknowledge and manage the emotions that come with change without allowing them to control your decisions or your days.

3. Redefine Your Identity

Reconnect with who you are beyond the role, relationship, career, or season that has changed.

4. Restore Your Resilience

Strengthen your ability to adapt, recover, and keep moving forward when change feels heavier or lasts longer than you expected.

5. Reclaim Your Confidence

Rebuild trust in yourself and your ability to make decisions about your life and what comes next.

6. Reinvent Your Next Chapter

Turn what you’ve discovered into a clear, intentional vision and plan for the life you want to create next.

The Transition Blueprint® is designed for the changes that can shake your sense of identity, confidence, and direction. Because while every transition looks different, many of the questions underneath it are the same.

Here is exactly what you get.

Success Stories

“Recently, I began my journey towards becoming a business owner and I immediately thought of Lena. When exploring options and feasibility of owning my own business, Lena helped me to identify the clean and dirty of this major life change. I found that her ability to ask the right questions for my situation to be very thorough. Lena helped me find my direction, my motivation and ultimately the right decisions for me and I can’t thank her enough!”

Anita R.

“Lena provided steps to help me move forward, which was a life changing experience for me. If you have an open mind and you are willing to transform your thinking and your life, Lena will definitely get you there. The value she offers with her coaching is absolutely priceless.”

Chandra W.

“Retirement created a lot of uncertainty for me. I knew I was ready to leave my career, but I wasn’t sure what life would look like afterward. Lena created a personalized 24-month transition plan that helped me think through things I hadn’t considered and gave me clear steps forward. Having a plan eased some of my uncertainty and helped me feel more prepared and confident about this next chapter."

Sherry W.

This is for you if:

• You’re navigating a major life change and aren’t sure what comes next.

• You’re tired of simply functioning and want to feel like yourself again.

• You want clarity about what you need now and where you go from here.

• You’re ready for a personalized plan and meaningful steps forward.

This is not for you if:

• You’re looking for therapy or clinical mental health support.

• You want someone else to make your decisions for you.

• You’re looking for a quick fix without doing the deeper work.

• You’re not ready to take action on what we uncover together.

Imagine how different the next 90 days could feel.

Instead of waking up with the same questions running through your mind, you have direction.

You understand what you’re feeling without allowing every emotion to determine your next move. You’re clearer about what matters to you now. You’re making decisions instead of endlessly questioning them. And little by little, you begin to recognize yourself again. Not because everything in your life has suddenly been resolved, but because you know how you want to move forward.

“I had been in therapy for years and honestly didn’t think I needed coaching. Therapy helped me understand my past, but working with Lena helped me see what was possible for my future. She helped me get clear about what I wanted and helped me create steps forward. I walked away with a new level of confidence.” Marie D

Why Work With Me

I’m Lena M. Wilson, and I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to helping people move through life’s biggest transitions.

When my daughter was nine months old, my first marriage ended, and suddenly the life I thought I was building looked nothing like I had imagined. I was a new mother trying to care for a baby while processing the end of my marriage and everything I thought my future would be.

In those first weeks, I did what I knew how to do: I kept going. I went to work, took care of my daughter, handled what needed to be handled, and told people, “I’m fine.”

But I wasn’t fine. I was grieving my marriage, the future I thought I would have, and the woman I had been before everything changed. Eventually, I realized that functioning wasn’t the same as healing. I had to allow myself to grieve what was over while beginning to ask, “What do I want my life to look like from here?”

That question became the beginning of rebuilding my life and moving toward a future I couldn’t see when the divorce first happened.I've also lived the rest of the list. Loss. Relocation. Leaving a 25-year career. Building a business. And this year, watching my daughter pack for college and learning what my house sounds like without her in it.

Before this work, I spent 25 years in corporate Human Resources, sitting across from people on the worst day of their professional lives and helping them figure out what came next. I've trained management teams on leading their people through organizational change. What I learned in those rooms is the same thing I learned in my own: the circumstances change, the question doesn't. Who am I now, and what comes next?

I’ll make space for what you’re feeling, but we won’t stop there. When you’re ready to understand what has changed, get clear about what you want, and begin moving forward, that’s the work I’m here to help you do.

FAQs

Q1: Is 90 minutes really enough?

It's enough to get clear, which is what you're missing. You've had months to think about this alone and it hasn't worked, because thinking isn't the same as being walked through a framework by someone who does this professionally. Ninety focused minutes with structure beats six months of circling.

Q2: Is this therapy?

No. Therapy works on healing what happened. Coaching works on deciding what's next. Many of my clients do both.

Q3: What happens after the follow-up?

Some people take the roadmap and run with it. Some want ongoing support, and I have options for that. There's no pressure either way, but you will leave with a complete plan whether you ever work with me again or not.

Q4: Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Flexible payment options are available at checkout through Klarna and PayPal.
